Other recent bangers....

Mixing a heady blend of power-pop, modern folk and glitchy 90's indie, Green Hands is the ever-evolving musical project from midlander Jack Telford.

Having started life as a bedroom project at university, Green Hands released their first EP, the lo-fi ‘Southern Shade’ in 2017 through Bristol indie label Breakfast Records. The group quickly found safe haven in the DIY indie scenes of both Oxford and Bristol, spending the following years across the UK & Ireland, playing shows and festivals with the likes of Happyness, Penelope Isles and Willie J Healey & becoming a staple of Amazing Radio and local BBC stations.

October 2020 brought about Green Hands’ first studio album, 'Nebo's Dream. Recorded and produced by the brilliant Dom Mitchison at Bristol’s Christchurch Studio and once again released by Breakfast Records. , 'Nebo's Dream' is a record filled with oddball guitar-pop and baroque charm, a world to climb into

Following a slew of self-released singles in 2022 (Middle of Nowhere, (The Day I Found) Jackson Browne, Standing in the Shadows), Green Hands’ upcoming EP, 'Another Life or Two' was released in July 2023. Pairing up with local wunderkind Patch Murphy to produce, the release is a collection of wistful winter ballads inspired by the delicate intertwining and shared histories of male friendships.

2024 brings the release of a new EP in January and a tour in Feb/March.

Follow the trail: James and sometimes even Patch play in Green Hands. Green Hands has also stolen James's daughter.
